The House voted Wednesday to prohibit the Food and Drug Administration
from approving genetically modified salmon for human consumption. The
FDA is set to decide this year whether to approve the modified fish. .

AquaBounty should have sold it's invention to Monsanto. Then it would
have gotten approved no problem.
Something like that is still not out of the question.

Just means the bribes aren't up to snuff yet. At one time Monsanto was
denied approval for their seeds. Not long after they got exclusive approval
for GM alfalfa with no regulations at all. Same is happening now with sugar
beets.

What's the "on" switch that will cause the hormone to begin working
in its human host?
