Thread: Hippy Birthday to me!

    Default Hippy Birthday to me!

Carin really went out of her way to make my birthday party fun; she had
a whole hippy theme and everything. She asked me to wear my tie-dye,
but didn't tell me why. The cake was the most awesome part, but all the
food was great. Wish we'd gotten pictures of the food spread (veggie
lasagna, garlic bread, ratatouille, salad, olives, brie, two flavors of
    jack cheese, crackers, etc.).

Anyway, some pics. The artist in the last picture is my kid. The cute
guy I'm sitting with is James, whom I may have mentioned here once or
    twice. ;-)

That cake is amazing! Is the batter poured in concentric circles to
    achieve that look?

Glad you had a happy birthday,

Very cool! You neglected to mention your TIARA! :-)

Looks simple enough. :-) Plus if it's colored with Jello instead of food
coloring, that'd give it different flavors too.

    How fun!

Sounds like they made you feel properly loved. That cake is beautiful!! I
mean the colors in the cake itself. How did they do that? And the pies were
    a great idea!

Me too! I need to think of an occasion which would deserve it
though. Maybe the next time I visit my friend with 5 kids. They
would get a HUGE kick out of it. I usually bring cookies or bars so
this would be an nice change of pace.
