I want to make this recipe this weekend, but I need your help. In the
instructions, when adding the ingredients, should I mix the dry spices
with the other in warm water to help dissolve and then just pour over
the chicken? I would think with the dry spices, you might rub over the
chicken or place in the cavity, but I am not sure.

I need your help, please. And thanks in advance for it.
Easy Crockpot Chicken and Rice

1 roasting chicken, without gibblets
1 whole onion, quartered
4 garlic clove, cut in half
15 whole baby carrot
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon sweet-hot paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
3 cups water
1 lime, juice of
1 cup rice

1Place the cleaned chicken in the crock pot.
2Add the onion, garlic, carrots, sage, paprika, salt pepper, lime
juice & water.
3Cook on Low for 8 hours.
4Turn heat up to high, add the rice and cook until tender. About 30
