Thread: Halloween Brunch

    Bob Terwilliger Guest

    Default Halloween Brunch

    persimmon-bacon rugelach
    apple fritters

    pumpkin blintzes
    French toast casserole
    syrup assortment:
    * maple
    * ginger-orange
    * allspice apples
    * sweet tea and cinnamon

    duck sausage patties: duck, pecans, maple, mace, orange
    thick-sliced ham

    hash browns: sweet potatoes, onions, and yellow chiles
    honey-lime yogurt

    coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, pomegranate juice

    sparkling wine

    COMMENTS:

    1. Rugelach dough is almost indistinguishable from pie dough.

    2. The apple fritters are Martha Stewart's version, apple rings dipped in a
    light batter, deep-fried, and sprinkled with confectioner's sugar.

    3. The ginger-orange and sweet-tea-cinnamon syrups were made by infusing
    simple syrup.

    4. Is there a name for the drink made by mixing sparkling wine with
    pomegranate juice?

    How about a Pomegranate Spritzer. A Pom Fizz? A Sparkling Pom?
    You're welcome. Any time. My pleasure.

    We ended up calling it a "Pomosa."

    At a bar, a man ordered a pomegranate martini. I wonder what you call
    that? A pomtini?

    I thought you said that you weren't posting any more of these "menus",
    as we don't "deserve" to see them?

    LOL!

    At any rate, it sure isn't a martini.

    Pomegranate juice and calling it a martini? Nah. Gin and vermouth.
    Martini.

    You "thought" wrong: I wrote that you don't deserve to see PHOTOS of the
    food I cook.

    I will still allow you to view and envy some of my menus.

    Try reading for COMPREHENSION next time.

    What the **** are you babbling about? You're an asshole because you don't
    post recipes. I posted recipes for all the non-elementary dishes mentioned
    in the menus I cooked. Are you really so stupid that you completely fail to
    comprehend the difference? Or was your stupid post merely a flimsy excuse to
    try once again to drive people to your vanity site?

    Moreover, the item you quoted is simply a lie. I never said I wouldn't
    continue to post menus. PVC was just stupid and wrong in writing that.

    Going wild for them would be to use Bombay Sapphire or New Amsterdam.
