    Gummy Bears: Bee's wax!?

Watching "How it's made" a segment covered the Gummy Bear
    factory assembly line.

It was mentioned to put the finishing glossy shine, they tumble
    in bee's wax!?

It never occurred to me that bee's wax was even edible. It's no
    doubt flavorless.

Considering the millions of Gummy bears made daily there have to
be a lot of busy and pissed off bees!

Not so, you're thinking shelac. Most confections receive their sheen
from carnuba and other natural vegetable waxes.
