Default Goodbye to this and all!

The idiots selling on these newsgroups succeed because idiots on these
    newsgroups buy~

    Thus, the demise of rec.food.cooking!

Google will see them all going the way of all flesh if they don't
    somehow police these newsgroups/

    Goodbye rec.food.cooking.

Selling? Buying? Maybe you should stop reading Usenet via Google Groups.
(Oh how I miss Blinky right now!)

Heh, that's been predicted since before you were born "Mikie". rfc isn't
going anywhere, but apparently you are. Good riddance.

Do you really think spam is a NEW problem? I'm sure that if you went
back in time and asked the cavemen they'd say that half of the
cavepaintings were really saying 'Eat Og's mammoth. It good!'

Since I've always been basically Blinky's echo regarding this, it just has
    to be said.

    1. This is not a Google Group, and Google has nothing to do with it, other
than providing a bastard web interface to view it. This is Usenet, and it
    is a completely different medium.

    2. Get a proper newsreader and set up a Usenet account. news.individual.net
is a good one at a cheap rate, and filters out 99.9% of the crap you are
complaining about so that I never see it.

    3. Blinky wouldn't have said this, because he would have never seen you. He
had all Google Groupers killfiled to begin with. I don't go that far except
in a few groups where they are a problem. I don't have to killfile them to
filer spam, because, as stated above, my provider does so.

You too, gmail dude. As if predicting the demise of rfc based on reading
Usenet Google Groups is sunshine on a cloudy day.

I looked up his recent posting record. Three posts. In the first one,
a month ago, he said he was going to killfile this group. In the
second one, he asked if we thought he was a weirdo. He did mention that
he was 85 years old, so he predates rfc.
