After my father died - and we didn't post to RFC while we waited for his
body to be removed - we did easily remove his Facebook account. No
further notifications - simple stuff.

I'm an older person too. I have a vague recollection of smoke signals.

I remember being able to discreetly pick up the phone and listen in on other
people's conversations... Can't do that with a celly.

Well, I sure have not been inclined to join FB, and twitter also
is unappealing. FB MIGHT be a tad more appealing if I didn't
value my privacy, but I do. If that makes me an old fogy, so be
it. I am happy to say that my daughter also thinks about privacy
issues. In fact she recently won a large amount of money, and the
folks wanted to take her pic with one of those huge checks. She
is negotiating with them about doing it in her anime costume, with
a mask.

I got a fortune cookie recently that said "you will inherit a large sum of
money"
Unfortunately, it didn't say when.

She is herself, but there are elements of me... and of her father.
