Default Dump o' the day, 8-10-2010

    Dump o' the Day!

It was over 50% full but it
    crushed under the added weight.

By 8 AM it was so hot and humid. I
worked in 5 minute spurts and 10
    minute A/C and lemonade breaks.

    http://i37.tinypic.com/15wzej6.jpg

I rang up Jenni this morning. I
asked "when do you pick up the 10-
yard dumpster?" I explained that I
was overheating in the heat and
marching stuff outside. She said I
could keep it a few extra days
    past the agreed five day
arrangement and to ring her up
    when I'm finished.

I don't know how to appropriately
reward such a generous offer, for
    a change!

    sf,

I have about 20 carousels left to toss. They're slides Mom took all our
lives on EktaChrome everywhere on earth.

They were only special to us! Keeping them didn't make much point.

I haven't viewed them in 30 or 40 years but I remember them all.

    I don't mind you asking.

I hope you kept a few of the good ones or at least made some into
    prints.

    skeeter,

Yeah, I felt squeamish tossing them out, remembering how I so much enjoyed
    buying them!

I probably have more "stuff", but I'd never call it trash.

    sf,

It WAS stuff until it hit the dumpster.

On the bright side, picking through four floors of stuff to toss, I did
find some kewl stuff I forgot I had.

A birthday gifted miniature Zen garden to go with my world sand
collection I began in 1983. My origami "brief study" samples. A $2 bill,
    etc.

    Happens every time!

    Best,

    Andy

Hey, did that $2 bill have Santa Claus instead of a dead president? I
still have one of those. I got it from a major bank at face value and
they promised it was legal tender. I wonder what it's worth now?

    sf,

It was a recent $2 bill. Nothing special, like a silver certificate.

RECENT???? They've done it recently? The one I have left is at least
20 years old (we gave them to nieces and nephews as part of their xmas
gift that year). Are you trying to tell me they do this EVERY year???
I'm going to march in and ask for Santa $2 bills this coming holiday
    season if that's the case.

    I don't know what it's worth, although I'm sure it's still legal
tender, but my mom gave me one at Christmas one year. I also have
her collection of about 30 $2 bills that she had dated and noted some
occasion; a momentous birthday, each time we moved, etc. The oldest
one was marked with the day I was born.

It's called severe depression. This is hopefully the precursor to selling
his house and doing a "Leaving Las Vegas".

You have got to be the biggest candyass I have ever seen. It's too hot.
    It's too cold. It's raining. It's snowing. You wouldn't last 10 minutes
in my world. And I have it easy now, compared to my previous career. Man
    up, buttercup!
