Unbelievable. We recycle but they pic it up for us once a week with the
yard waste route. Wonder what that guy was thinking.

    1. Simple he was waiting for the recycle value to go from 2 for 5 cents
    to 5 cents each.
    2. He just doubled his money.

No kidding. I looked at that pile and I was wondering if he got his
security deposit back? Actually, with a can crusher and a few trips
to the recycling place he could have got some money back. I can't
imagine what 8 years of beer cans smells like. Think he had any cats?
Where would the litter box go?

Maybe he rinsed them out before throwing them on a pile.

LOL...Somehow I doubt that. Rinsing the cans is a total pita. We've
got a friend who makes windmill thingies out of cans so we save some
for him. You have to wash them and let them dry upside down and
repack then in the carton they came it. At least they're getting used
and they actually do look pretty cool.

This happened in 2005. The 70,000 cans were redeemed for a grand total
    of $800.00.

But would a can crusher be worthwhile? I'll bet the place smelled like a
stale saloon. If he had cats maybe they were trained to used the toilet.

I think #4 wins. If I was slightly more interested I'd look up how much a
    single aluminum can brings.

How funny you would say that as I was just remembering

We tried to train Popie to use the toilet, as she seemed the most likely
candidate of our five. However, she fell in the toilet once too many times
and won't go near it now. Funny, though, she loves to take showers with
    us.

I was in Houston about 8 years ago and saw that place. Talk about an
