Coca Cola's new 2-quart plastic bottles!
Coca Cola's new 2-quart plastic bottles!
The new bottles are shaped like overgrown coke bottles of old rather than the
straight shaped cylinder.
A problem I encountered with the new one is that it's taller and won't fit on
any fridge shelves that I arranged to my liking ages ago. The quickest fix
was to adjust a door shelf were it fits very nicely.
So the problem actually backfired into a better solution, freeing up more
shelf space.
At first I was mad, now I'm glad.

An even better solution? Give up drinking soda. Keep cold water in a
bottle in the fridge.
It's better for your health, cheaper, and non-addictive.

What'll you do when they begin making the 2 liter size, those extra ounces
may require further adjustment.

There were two spare "rungs" at the bottom of the door (side by side) that I
didn't feel like using so I wouldn't have to bend down that far for stuff.
The door shelves housed all the many bottles of condiments, dressings, etc.,
which I did have to re-shoehorn around, throwing out some really ancient
stuff in the process to make room.
Only wish I'd thought of it sooner. :-/

gloria p,
I drink water all day long! A few chugs of coke every so often relieves the
boredom that is H2O.

Me too, if soda consumption depended on me the factories would be
shuttered. About the only soda I ever liked was ginger ale once in a
great while and is impossible to find one that actually tastes like ginger.

I never have. I'm quite aware of the temporal nature of old Gatorade
bottles. I buy a quart of Gatorade every once in a while to get a new
one, and wash my two existing bottles that I use at least once a week
in hot spapy water, very thoroughly.

If I'm really bored, I'll make some Solar tea with one of the many
selections of Celestial Seasonings and refrigerate that.
I gave up soft drinks over 20 years ago and seldom need any help at the
dentists office.
