I'm glad he did. Peter could have published a daily link to
CaringBridge (just like the candle site is published daily) but we
often get his messages here before CaringBridge is updated. Anyone
*normal* who doesn't want to read about Christy knows they can either
skip the thread or filter the header which is easy to do - unlike
staying away from the likes of you who morph and return.

Just in case you haven't figured it out, I'll spell it out for you.
Your juvenal antics have done two things:
1. You've managed to turn someone many people here find abrasive
enough to permanently filter (without any help from you, asshole) into
a tragic hero.
2. You've also managed to show *you're* so focused on stalking that
you can't even let someone go through the real life death of his wife
(who is well loved here) without turning it into a stalker's
playground.

In general people deal with impending doom, sadness, and overall impotence
in different ways. In addition people seek emotional support and catharsis
in differently.

Having been in his shoes when my son was hit by a drunk driver I find
the details offensive.
A simple update like Christy is not doing well with the Caringbridge
site would be enough.

posts......sf, you go girl. If posting comments from Caring Bridge makes
Peter feel better that he is actually doing something for Christie (whether
or not it helps her or not, it gives him an outlet). If you don't want to
read his posts, chopped liver, just ignore them. There are many posts on
rfc I routinely ignore, so why can't you. Using Peter's posts about his
feelings for what is going on half a world away to attack him is what sf
called 'vile' and I am inclined to agree with her.

Whether you liked Christie or not, she contributed to this newsgroup, she
made an impact. I just read a quote from Edna St. Vincent Millay that went
like this:
"My candle burns at both ends; It will not last the night; But, ah, my foes,
and, oh, my friends- It gives a lovely light!" I think that pretty much sums
up Christie....her candle may have burned at both ends, but what a light she
made in the life of others. If Peter is touched by that light, more power
to him.....you can only hope to make such an impression........

On Topic: Food - December 27th is National Fruitcake Day. Somehow I think
Christie's quirky personality would find the absurd humor in the fact that
her last remaining day on earth may be National Fruitcake Day (smile).
Think of her in her finer moments, what made you smile and some of the
sillier times that made you giggle. That is the way we all should be
remembered.

My SO (Ruth) and I were both touched by Christy's 'light'. She sent
consoling emails after Ruth's much loved older sister (and my SIL)
passed away after an 8 year battle with cancer, and then on the 1st
anniversary of her passing.
