Cheddar Macaroni Turkey or Beef Casserole
Cheddar Macaroni Turkey or Beef Casserole
1 pkg. (7-1/4 oz.) KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1 lb. lean Turkey or ground Beef
1 diced onion
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) Italian-style stewed tomatoes, undrained
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves or dried basil leaves
1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese
(Optional) Lightly top with Parmesan Cheese
PREHEAT oven to 400ºF. Prepare Dinner as directed on
package, omitting butter. Meanwhile, brown meat with diced onion in
large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat; drain if ground beef.
Add tomatoes and oregano; mix well. Bring to boil.
ADD meat mixture to Dinner; spoon into 9-inch square
baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
BAKE 10 min. or until cheese is melted and casserole
is heated through.

LOL Jimmy Tango came along some years back and flooded the ng with posts of
recipes using pre-fab foodstuffs. I think Sandra Lee was Jimmy Tango in a
previous life.
BTW, I don't see how this is better than hamburger helper.

Now and then college students post and ask for ideas on what they can
cook with limited facilities and limited budgets. The recipes you've
posted so far would be good replies to those threads. You might share
with us something a bit less basic that you've made since college. -
