Default From Care-2, and environmental support group (and YES it IS about FOOD)

Celebrate a Tofu Tuesday!
Reducing our meat consumption is good for the environment. Meat production
is extremely resource-intensive - livestock currently consume 70 percent of
America's grain production and enormous amounts of water. Cattle ranching is
a major cause of destruction of rainforest in Central and South America -
fifty-five square feet of rainforest are destroyed for every quarter pound
hamburger that comes from a cleared rainforest. And when it comes to meat
and climate change, eating one pound of hamburger does the same damage as
driving your car for more than three weeks!

For Today's Action, skip a beef meal and try a tofu recipe.

Stop repeating all this bullshit unless you're prepared to back it
up with actual facts.

If everyone were vegetarian, how could we possibly grow enough to
nurish us? We cut down rain forests, that's how. Now where do get
our fertilizer...

I'm eating a 1.25lb ribeye for dinner. South American grass fed,
even.
