Looks pretty darn good to me!

Pork barbeque at my sister-in-law's tomorrow and my contribution will
be 3 pounds of spicy shrimp as an appetizer.

You blacked out the words "USDA Select".

That's because they are NOT ON THE LABEL to start with.

Those words can only be used on "official USDA labels".

It's not USDA graded but it looked worth that price to me.
I blacked out the address of the store because I didn't buy
enough to share with all of usenet.

There are only a handful of Grand Union stores still operating. Grand
Union went out of business years ago, filed bankruptcy, none of the
store products say Grand Union anymore except the label on their fresh
meat, I've no idea why that is. They do carry very good fresh meat.

Absolutely! Gonna be a good weekend, The family is gonna grill bessy. Then
to the boat dock, where my nephew will take us out on his boat. Yes gas is
five is bucks a gallon, but the 4th of July weekend is a must. Return to
the dock and watch the fireworks from the boat. Sleep in because I am
retired now and do not have to work the next day like I use to. Gonna be
    the best fourth ever!

Bessy does not have have a USDA label. Because bessy the dairy cow that
could not provide milk... That will serve her... on a plate, skewer or bun.

I was right...those words weren't on the label because it wasn't USDA
    INSPECTED. Brooklyn1 just said so.

Nice collection of labels...have any more? I suppose you get a lot of

ALL beef is USDA inspected. Otherwise they can't sell it. Catz said
it wasn't *graded*. "Inspected" and "graded" are two different terms.

Don't try and lecture me about USDA regulations and terms again, OK?
Or any other subject, for that matter.

As if people hadn't seen meat before...I was a meat cutter for years
and I don't recall taking any pictures of it raw or cooked. I don't
know why he is so hung up on labels either. I guess that if you don't
consume the very best grade you're a second class citizen and should
be condemned for ever after. There is lots of ungraded beef that is
priced right and is perfect for human consumption.

After retirement I raised Murray Gray cattle...great meat animals
developed in Australia from mostly black Angus and a a smattering of
Shorthorn blood. If I had better health I would still be raising them.

I think that everything about a cut of meat is important to how you cook
it, and especially if you ask for suggestions. It is also important
when you post a photo of a cooked piece of meat because people are going
to want to know what it is.

Thank you. There is nothing odd about proving what you have cooked.
It's kinda ironic to hear Katz criticising the practice as he's the
one that always challenges my grades of meat, then I slap these photos
of the labels in front of his face and he slinks away with his tail
    behind his legs.

He almost always falls for it. I think he finally learned not to
challenge the grade of beef I buy, or the price, after the 4th or 5th
    time.

Yet he here brags about ungraded steaks that wouldn't grade more than
    USDA Select. Go figure.

The only reason to post a picture of a plated dish (meat or any dish)
is to show that what someone prepared is presented in an _appetizing_
manner... to date the dwarf has never shown any dish he's prepared
that even looks edible, that he's a lousy photographer aside... I
still can't get the vision of his goulish chicken hide soccer ball out
    of my head.

But more important are educational how-to pictures. The dwarf has
never done such. likely because he doesn't know how-to anything. The
ONLY thing the dwarf is really good at is criticising others efforts
but never offers _constructive_ criticism, also because the ability to
be helpful is not one of his fortes. Sqwertz it the 8th wonder of the
dwarf world that for obvious reasons Disney always kept cloistered in
    the closet, Nasty! LOL-LOL

    Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. . . .
