Burger King: Free Friday "new fries" today!
Burger King: Free Friday "new fries" today!
Don't forget, members (as mentioned prior, by another member), today is
your "one time only" opportunity to get a nationwide free helping of the
newly to life, reinvented "thick cut" new & improved (HA!!!) greasy French
fries.
I'll pass.

Huh. Maybe I'll go later today yet I probably won't. I was tempted to go
there yesterday evening though. Home cooked food won that dilemma.
I've always wanted to go to Wendys and McDonalds and just buy fries to
compare side by side. Guess I can add Burger King fries to that
for.....someday.
I did that comparison with root beer once....bought 5 brands and drank them
side by side. "Dad's" root beer ended up winning.

Gary,
There's a bar & grill that serves steak fries which manage to stay hot
and not wilt as fast French fries. If I only didn't dislike the
atmosphere so much!

Barqs here. It' became plainly obvious not to go against new family
opinion after moving to their town.

Thanks for the heads-up. I might have to make a trip to the ghetto and get
some fries.

I love Dad's Red Creme Soda. It's a New Orleans nectar soda.

I will try them later. I figured they might be super busy today.
We just finished making the surprise ball. We make one every Christmas.
There is a BK gift card in there, among other things.

Julie,
I didn't try them. They're just fatter French fries that I rarely eat
anyway. I don't see any glowing reviews about them yet. <G>
Don't forget a few Duncan Imperial yo-yos in your surprise ball!
Best,
Andy

I tried the fries. They were made from poor quality potatoes.
Don't bother.

So would they have been great if they had been made from "good"
quality potatoes? I think it's all the crap they fry them in and any
additives they add...good taters or not.

What's your definition of a poor quality potato?

Ham and eggs.
A day's work for a chicken, a lifetime commitment for a pig.

Well, I finally got a "fast food" craving yesterday and went to Burger King.
Their new fries aren't bad. Definitely better than the old thin ones. Not
bad at all but I still think I would choose Wendy's for fries.

Gary,
I'm more in favor of steak fries.
I'm of the opinion that they stay hotter and plump longer, compared to the
French fries, which tend to go limp and cold.
Naturally, that's a matter of opinion.

We stopped at a BK on the way to Chicago. I tried ONE of my son's
fries. It was not as good as their old ones.
