    Default Bread Pudding Recipe

Here's a recipe for bread pudding that I found online. I'm excited to
try it out this weekend. Let me know if you have any other bread
    pudding recipes.

    Bread Pudding

    Ingredients:

    2 cups milk
    1/4 cup butter
    2/3 cup sugar
    3 eggs
    2 teaspoons cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups bread, torn into small pieces (french bread works best)
1/2 cup raisins or berries (optional)

    Directions:

    1. In medium saucepan, over medium heat, heat milk just until film
forms over top. Combine butter and milk, stirring until butter is
    melted. Cool to lukewarm.

    2. Combine sugar, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Beat with an
electric mixer at medium speed for 1 minute. Slowly add milk mixture.

    3. Place bread in a lightly greased 1 1/2 quart casserole.

    4. Sprinkle with raisins or berries if desired. Pour batter on top of
    bread.

    5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 to 50 minutes or until set. Serve
    warm.

    ==================

This is a bread pudding recipe that I use. I had this recipe on my
computer. I love bread pudding with whipped topping.
    ==================

    Bread and Butter Pudding

    Set Oven to 350 Degrees

    Ingredients

    Butter or Margarine

8 Slices of Bread with crusts removed

    1 Quart of Milk

    4 Eggs

    1 cup Sugar

    1 Teaspoon Vanilla

    Cinnamon and Nutmeg

    Raisins (optional)

    Directions

Butter an 8" pan. Add bottom layer of raisins. Butter 8 slices of bread.
Pile four of them on top of each other and cut off crusts and then cut the
pile into cubes. Do the same for the other four slices. Toss the cubes
into the 8" baking dish. Beat the eggs. Add milk, sugar and vanilla to the
eggs and stir together. Pour egg and milk mixture over the bread cubes in
the 8"baking dish. Lightly sprinkle top of pudding mixture with cinnamon
and nutmeg. Place the baking dish in a larger baking dish or roasting pan
and fill the roasting pan with hot water halfway up the sides of the 8"
    baking dish.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
