I like Babette's Feast and also Ratatouille. Some older movies have
good scenes, Charley Chaplin cooking his boot and fastidiously removing
the nails like fish bones (Gold Rush, I think). Some of the cooking in
Tampopo where they endeavor to get noodle recipes are good too.

I'd forgotten about that. That was a good scene.

For a while, it looked like the lobsters might win!
What was the Allen movie where him and Keaton are in bed, and at one point
you see her with his glasses on?

You might like "Eat Drink Man Woman" which is the movie that "Tortilla
Soup" is based upon. The techniques shown in that one just blew me away.

Re: Best cooking scence in a movie?
I have to go with the Little Rascals episode where a couple of the
kids decided to raise money to buy their mom a dress for her birthday
by baking a cake full of prizes, and serving it up to the kids in the
neighborhood. The sound of the cake as it was cooking is one of the
funniest sounds I have ever heard.

Re: Best cooking scence in a movie?
I think my favorite movie featuring cooking scenes is "Dinner Rush" with
Danny Aiello as an NYC Itlaian restaurant owner and former bookie. It
also has Sandra Bernhard as a bitchy restaurant critic. My second
choice would be "Big Night" with Tony Shaloub amd Stanley Tucci.
