Nice idea, I like waking up to the smell of cooking, especially bacon and/or fresh bread.

Heh. Saw some hype about that contraption a few years ago. Wonder if
    it 'took off'?

Not for me, I'm afraid. I love my bacon, but I can't stand the smell of
it cooking until I've been awake for an hour or three. Not to mention I
don't fancy leaving a strip of bacon in there overnight - frozen or
not. In our summer heat it wouldn't stay frozen for long. I like to
keep any pork products well wrapped and refrigerated until just before
I cook them. Yup, I'm probably being way over-cautious but that's just
me. But wait! maybe you're not supposed to eat the bacon? Nah. That
would be an awful waste of bacon, IMHO.

Only ONE slice? Hardly worth waking up for
