Avocados
We went grocery shopping yesterday, and I decided to treat myself to
an avocado. I changed my mind when I saw that they were $1.98 each!
Here's a cool-looking recipe using avocados:

Avos are $90 cents at the produce market recently. They're the Hass Mexican
import, here in PA.

Carol,
I'll pass on your recipe. Grossed me out, to tell you the truth.
Why not a nice avo grilled cheese sandwich instead? Simple perfection.

Went to a different store today, and found them for $.89 each. I
bought six of them, in varying degrees of ripeness. Heaven!

Well, when you find them less expensive, here's an oldie but goodie.
I have it categorized as one of those "now why didn't I think of
that?" recipes.
Orange Avocado
1 orange (about 1/2 lb.)
1 ripe avocado (about 10 oz.)
2 tablespoons lime juice
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Hot chili flakes
Salt
1. Cut and discard peel and white membrane from orange. Cut between
segments to release fruit. Cut fruit into 1/2-inch chunks and put in a
bowl.
2. Peel and pit avocado. Cut into 1/2-inch chunks and mix with orange
chunks. Stir in lime juice, onions, and cilantro. Add chili flakes and
salt to taste.

I bought two the other day for $1.98 each and made some damn good dip!
Well worth the $4. Shared it with 4 friends who loved it as well!

Thank you! That sounds delicious. Now I have the (much cheaper)
avocados, but not the rest of the stuff. LOL! I'll try to grab the
other components next week, when we go grocery shopping.
