I'm making (hot) mulled apple cider, not worrying about punch per se
and I'll serve it with a shot of rum for those who want alcohol.

Depends where you are
For the kiddies we use a large can of fruit salad , a diced orange and
something like paw paw or guava if we have it , passion fruit or
something else to add some ziz and then load it with a soda like
Schweppes lemonade making sure you have some glace cherries in there
chopped fine for colour
Same for adults but add 1/3 the volume by a good vodka or just plain
down home sipping whisky at some silly over proof

A former co-worker brought this delightful punch to company parties.

1 large can apricot nectar
1 1/2 large cans pineapple juice
2 12-oz cans frozen oj
1 12-oz can cranberry juice (hmmmm, does this imply frozen
concentrate? Oh, an ambiguity. But what else could it be?)
1 1/2-2 cans sweetened coconut cream

Serve straight with ice (which is how I had it), or with ginger ale.

Hey, I love that punch, but I have not had any in years. My late SIL's
favorite, was ginger ale, pineapple juice and lime sherbet. Loved it!

I make it by the glassful often...like a sherbet/ginger ale float! The

I think our church did that at a baby shower only with lemon sherbet.

A good one is:

1 large can pineapple juice (not exactly sure of the size - 64 oz?)
1 2-liter Sprite
1 quart raspberry sherbet

4 liters of Ginger Ale, 1/2 gallon of rainbow sherbet, and one 750ml
bottle of Everclear.

Had to be careful drinking that stuff! It'd be a good way to get
pregnant...

Husband's frat used to make "Purple Jesus". In their kitchen's hugest
kettle: grape juice, Hawaiian Punch, pineapple juice, 1.5 liter bottles
of gin, rum, and vodka. It went down way too easily and the freshman
girls were especially vulnerable. I stuck to beer 'cause I'm an alcohol
wimp.

Not as a general rule. <g> It was bad for balance...
I fenced foil as a Freshman then switched to Saber for my Sophomore and
Junior years.

Wish I'd kept up with it. It's excellent exercise!

Yeah. They'd probably never had any alcohol at all. Drink punch too
quickly and it'll sneak up on you.

I'd put out several bottles of spirits guests could add to their cup of
punch, leaving the punch bowl contents non-alcoholic for kids and
designated drivers.

Don't forget those cheap-o pourers so the lushes don't overdo it too
fast.

Get a stack of the throw-away cheap-o plastic wine goblet or martini or
shallow champagne glasses so kids, designated drivers and drinkers all
enjoy the same social "mood?" That and no broken glass to clean up. A
large variety are available from www.partycity.com and others.

Don't forget goofy party hats to fit the occasion.
