Who he played on camera is not a reflection of his actual self. And in
real life? You're completely wrong. Do some research instead of
repeating BS like that.

How do you know? I knew someone who was related to him, she was his
great-niece or some such thing. She said he was an ass. At any rate, RIP,
Andy.

I met him (briefly) once years ago in NC. He struck me as a nice guy. My
first impressions of people have always turned out to be the proper ones.

Andy Griffith was a good actor. I was disappointed that he declined
to run against Jesse Helms for US Senate in North Carolina. I just
heard something that sounded like thunder, but I checked the radar on
Weather Underground and realize that it must have been some idiot
shooting fireworks. We're in a drought here, and the fire danger is
high. Often, the police don't enforce fireworks laws, but they ought
to now. Heck, all the 4th of July shows have been cancelled or
delayed because of fire risk.
I BBQ'ed some of the best pork steaks this evening. I started some
charcoal in a chimney, and took the lid off of my Weber Kettle to
salvage partially burned charcoal, but there was still smoldering
going on in there from yesterday.

I was afraid it was you too. I'd have pinched you too, but I don't think
there is an app for that (yet).

Or a "touch of Death" app.
I think the voodoo app already exists, just isn't openly called that. I see
lots of zombies out there with their iphone, ipads, aye carumbas... The
whole "I" product line seems to turn people into zombies.

Another stupid kid just got mowed over by a train while wearing
earbuds.

This is the third kids vs. trains incident here in Missouri in as many
months:

"Carol Maserang said her son had been walking along the railroad tracks to
avoid street traffic... and he stepped into the train's path."
You have to have awfully bad timing to step in front of the train just
before it goes by. And if he didn't hear or see it, shouldn't he have felt
the ground shaking? The train's path is pretty clearly delineated...
Strange story. I can kind of understand the ones not paying attention that
step in front of buses or a car in a city. But stepping in front of a
train, incredible... and what was he doing with "thousands of hot wheels"?
Was that the last thing on his mind: buying another hot wheel to add to his
collection of thousands?
