11/42 cup of finely chopped onion
Really? Just look at this recipe!
http://www.yummly.com/recipe/Bacon-C...Pie-Recipezaar
The rest of the amounts seem normal. But to me that one doesn't.

It says 1/4 - 1/2. Meaning one-quarter to one-half cup. It's a lousy
font, but I don't think it's too hard to figure out.

Julie,
It looks like it should be 1.4 - 1/2 cup.
If you click the "Edit All" button above the ingredients, it resolves to
0.375 or 3/8 cup or 6 tablespoons.
Best,

Lookit who's tawkin' 'bout *normal*. LOL
Hey, a recipe is only a guide, use as much/little onion as you like...
of all the ingredients to question the amount of onion is the most
asinine... didn't you ever hear of "to taste"? I would have picked an
onion that looked about right to ME and used it all, I'd have used two
full cups runneth over... you know how I like full cups! hehe

No worse than directions such as "1 cup plus 21/2 tsp" of whatever.

Well if you actually used 11/42nd of a cup you'd be practically spot on to
1/4 cup. Me, I'd go more for 37/78ths because I like onions in meatballs.

Maybe you're allergic to fireworks?
