Default Listening to Music While Cooking?

I think it makes cooking far more enjoyable. I have found it to be a pretty interesting subject, with fairly strong opinions on both sides. Personally, it keeps me more relaxed and passes the time quicker. Recently while cooking I've been listening to Eli Young Band's new album "Jet Black and Jealous" (which was recently released by UMGD). I have really gotten into the album and I'm not even a big fan of country music. My favorite song of theirs is definitely “When It Rains” YouTube - Eli Young Band - When it Rains Just thought I'd share them with you all and see what your take on the subject is.

Let me know what you think!

I personally try to avoid any distractions while cooking cos I have a really short attention span and I tend to mess up the recipe

I love listening to foreign tunes while i cook makes me seem more sophisticated lol
but seriously, I highly recommend listening to Antonio Carlos Jobim or Astrid Gilberto while cooking. They make you feel so creative and relax. I like to think of cooking as a hobby, not so much a chore.
I find doing the dishes work enough.
And to add on the tunes, a big glass of wine is my ideal cooking ambiance

It depends on how you manage everything. My mom usually cook without listening to any music. Her concentration are focus on what she's doing. So that she won't miss a single procedure and to finish without forgetting any. So for me better not to listen. But it really depends.

I often do this. I also hum or sing together with the song while cooking. There's a taboo regarding this one. I don't believe it so I'll just keep on singing and listen to the music.

If I am running behind making a meal or a cake, I can turn on a fast tune to light a fire under my bum. Gets me all hyped up! I love that! If i'm taking my time though,I love listening to Jack Johnson in the kitchen!
Banana Pancakes is such a fun song!
