Thread: Does anyone have a (dwarf) fruit tree of their own?

I have lots of dwarf fruit trees. They rock!

You will have many of years enjoyment from dwarf fruit trees in your garden no matter how small. You can have them in the house as indoor fruit trees as well.

In NYC you can maximize the over winterability of your fruit trees by placing the containers up against the wall of your house. If you are in residence all winter (ie the heat is on) then the house will bleed heat through the wall to the tree.

If you do this you can espalier the tree on the wall which is super cool too.

We have a dwarf mandarin tree. We planted it in our garden, but it would have been better in a pot. So far it hasn't grown very well, so we may have to replace it with a full sized tree.

Thanks Joshua; that pdf about dwarf apple trees made me realize I hadn't even considered the pollination aspect. Going to have to choose carefully as III don't think I should get two.

I've wanted some of those for ages. We have a good range of them here in Australia. It would be great to have a whole dwarf orchard.

I do have a small coconut tree. Great thread. I want to plant a dwarf mango.
