A decade ago in a previous life I would have said I was the baker in the family. I was in charge of desserts and treats and baked pasta dishes. Any attempts at soup turned to mushy stew, any attempts to cook meat resulted in hockey pucks, any attempts to grill attracted the fire department.
Since marrying a Texan and acclimatizing my Canadian palate to the flavour of jalapenos and Rotel (translated to "burning the heck out of my lips and throat"), I've developed a talent for cooking and an addiction to trying new things.
I'm here to steal good ideas and share my own...looking forward to reading you all!
Welcome to the forums. It must have taken a while to get used to all that hot food!
