One of the best tips I received when I was on a diet was 'no carbohydrates in the evening'. It was easy to follow and made a real difference. I still abide by this rule and it allows me to treat myself to the sweet stuff during the day. No gorging, of course.

Both tips are great because they do not require cutting out vital nutrients. Fats and carbs are part of our basic food needs - having them in the early part of the day makes a great difference.
Cutting carbs is usually helpful if you are like most of us and eat to many. I don't believe in over doing but none in the evening makes sense.
Can't cut carbs because they are needed since I'm a Type 2 diabetic.

i believe that cutting carbs after 5pm helps cut calories. this helps you lower your calorie intake for the day so you lose weight.

I agree, this definitely does work..I just have such a hard time sticking to it because I am so used to eating a filling dinner and for me that means rice or pasta on the side
This is so true! and it's one of the most effective diet tips.
I just want to add up on this. As I think, it is not only after 6 diet. As I know, it should be between 6 - 7 am breakfast, 11 - 12 noon in lunch and 5 - 6 pm at night. and of course, calorie intake should not be at night. It is best in the morning because there's a lot of work in the body the whole day.

Fat is obviously worse for you than carbs, and you want to eat the right kinds of food to help your metabolism.I would like to start having them as a food for a dietary plan, but i was wondering how the plan would actually go?.. do you use them as a meal replacement or as a snack?.
