    Default High Fructose Corn Syrup

Can someone from the US give me an insight into how much of your foods contains high fructose corn syrup? From what I've been reading it's quite common and causes a lot of problems with health.

We don't tend to get it much in NZ, I don't think even soda (Coke, Sprite etc) has HFCS in it here.

Fruit is fibre and sugar mixed together. The fibre slows down the absorption of sugar in the gut. I'm not sure what that has to do with high fructose corn syrup.

Is high fructose corn syrup really that bad for you? Does anyone have a source for that?
