Default foods for lowering their blood pressure?

Study shows 19 percent of young adults have high blood pressure,we all know how dangerous it is, and i think this is related with their eating habit, so i was wondering that what can't be eaten for lowering their blood pressure? And are all the vegetables and fruits available?

    Thanks for your comments!

    Hi.

As a Chocolatier myself, I know for a fact that many medical researchers have found that dark chocolate does help to decrease high blood pressure. I'm talking, of course, about dark chocolate with high percentage of cocoa, at least 50% and the higher the better. It has Flavanoids in it which have an important role in lowering the BP.

Here's an article which summarize several studies regarding the role of (dark) chocolate in lowering blood pressure: Does Dark Chocolate Have a Role in the Prevention and Management of Hypertension?

(BTW: the article claims that 2/3 of US population is suffering from high or low BP...)

This is not, however, a recommandation to start eating dark-chocolate in large amounts every day... Fruits and vegetables, physical activity and a healthy life-style are important factors in that matter.

    Regards,
    Montal.
