    Default Fat-Burning Foods

    The Pros of Protein

Foods that are high in protein can help your body burn calories. That's because protein takes more energy to digest than fat. So the more protein you eat, the more calories and fat you burn. Snack on high-protein foods like lean turkey slices, seafood, low-fat or fat-free cheese, and foods made from soy protein (like faux chicken strips and veggie patties).

    Fat-Attacking Citrus Fruit

Experts say keeping blood sugar steady (avoiding spikes and dips) is key for fighting off fat-storing hormones and revving up the fat-burning ones. And studies have shown that vitamin C boosts your fat-burning ability as well. That makes insulin-blocking grapefruit, which is high in vitamin C, an ideal food for banishing fat. If snacking on grapefruit straight doesn't do it for you, try sprinkling some no-calorie sweetener like Splenda on it. Or toss a few pieces of the stuff into your salad for a tropical twist.

    Whole Grain Heros

A recent Penn State study found that whole grain eaters were able to blast more belly fat than those who didn't chomp on whole grains! Get a whole grain fix with pretty much anything from the folks at Kashi or with some Quaker oatmeal. You might be surprised to know that even Quaker's instant oatmeal is made from whole grain oats. And check out Quaker Simple Harvest Instant Multigrain Hot Cereal in Apples with Cinnamon (1 packet = 150 calories, 1.5g fat, 4g fiber -- POINTS® value 2*). Packed with THREE types of whole grains and lots of flavor, it's a tasty way to burn fat any time of day.

    Dairy Does It!

Research shows that people who regularly consume low-fat or fat-free dairy lose way more weight than those who don't. Experts say it's the combination of protein and calcium that makes it a fat-burning phenomenon.

Remember everyone, whole wheat does not necessarily mean whole grain!

Lots of things came out from the market nowadays about fat burners. Before anything you must discipline yourself and do proper eating diet. Thanks for our new technology, surgery, dietary supplement because you don't to worry no more. But still there is this saying that "you are what you eat" so be careful.

Here is list of fat burning foods...

Fruits rich in vitamin C like limes, lemons, oranges, guava, grapefruit and tangerines have fat burning properties . Vitamin C dilutes the fat and makes it less effective and helps in releasing the fat from the body.

Nuts and milk are also considered effective fat burners..

Breakfast foods like Oatmeal, skimmed milk and whole grain cereal and even spicy foods containing peppers are considered as foods that burn fat. Oats are a good source of vitamins, minerals and fiber. The capsaicin present in peppers induces the body to produce more stress hormones which in turn revs the metabolic rate burning more calories in the process. Soy is the wonder product, which has chemicals, which help fat from being deposited and also helps to act on the fat deposits in the body by breaking them down. Soybeans enhance the body’s ability to do away with fat.

The juice of garlic or the oil of garlic has the same protective property towards body cells and catalyses the action of getting rid of body fat. Many Indians aware of this fact are mixing their atta with soy flour.

Black Tea, coffee, and green tea also perform the same function. Consuming these foods and doing exercise would increase the metabolic rate of the body. Since the metabolism is boosted and the foods themselves are deficit in calories, the energy and fat that is stored in the body help in the digestion process. In short such foods take longer to digest and require more energy to break them down. These foods are often termed as negative calorie foods. Such foods often contain a lot of water, high percentage of fiber and are low in fat.

Water has always been in the news. Not only is it a natural product, which suppresses appetite, flushes toxins and excess sodium, but is also known to have contributed to an increase in the metabolic rate. The liquids and solids present in soup is also said to have the same properties. Low fat yogurt has been touted to be a rich source of calcium, which helps in weight loss.

Some of the other foods that may be included in the list of fat burning foods are asparagus, beet root, broccoli, cabbage, carrot, chillies, soybeans, sweet potatoes, apple, blueberries and watermelon. Pectin in apple restricts the cells to absorb the fat; and also encourages water absorption from the food which helps in releasing the fat deposits from the body.

Eat in moderation, go in for complex carbohydrates and whole grains, limit saturated fats, eat fruits and vegetables, rev up the metabolism and sure enough those foods that burn fat will do their job. Remember it is a combination of everything that is going to ensure that you burn those deposits of fat.

    Cheers

That creates insulin-blocking grape fruit, which is great in supplement C, an perfect meals for getting rid of fat. If eating on grape fruit immediately doesn't do it for you, try scattering some no-calorie sweetener like Splenda on it. Or throw a few items of the things into your greens for a exotic perspective.

Consuming the correct meals will help you melt away fat quicker, even if you happen to be just sitting down all around.Certain foods have a very high thermogenic effect, so you literally burn calories as you chew.
