Do not drink tea when eating foods that contain protein
Benefits of tea:
1. Tea contains antioxidants
2. Tea has less caffeine than coffee
3. Reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke
4. protect the bone
But, there is one things we need to know, the reaction between polyphenols (tannins) in tea with amino acids of the protein will form complexes that are difficult to separate. Complex bond is very strong so it can cause problems to the body's metabolism. Complex formed can not be absorbed by the intestinal wall, consequently, the protein from the food can not be utilized by the body. While the antioxidant which was originally contained in tea beverages also can not be utilized by the body.
so, to gain maximum benefit from food and beverages, tea should be consumed separately, 2 or 3 hours after eating is a good time for tea.
