Default Atkins diet worked for me...

but my cholesterol went through the roof. I lost 65 pounds, though. Make sure that you consult with your physician before starting any diets.

I tried atkins a few years ago, I lost a bit of weight but it was so hard sticking to the eating plan. There's only so much eggs and bacon you can eat for breakfast etc.

What exactly is Atkins diet? Never heard of it. And how has it exactly worked for you?

The Atkins diet is a low carbohydrate, high protein diet. It is credited to Dr. Robert Atkins and is described fully in his book "Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution". As with any diet it is important to restrict calorie intake and increase calorie burning.

I tried the atkins diet and I had lost some weight but I had gotten really sick from it. My doctor actually told me to get off the diet. I don't suggest going on this diet without talking to your doctor first.

How long did you do the induction phase for? I know somebody that did it and lost 15 lbs in a month but they ended up gaining all the weight back. They didn't really stick to the whole plan though.

What was your experience? Did you stay on the induction plan or do the phases all the way through?
