    Default excessively tall plants

    I plant potato early, use specialized potato fertilizer and hill at least once. I get a good harvest but the plants have excessively tall plants. Last year the plants were at least 5 ft tall. This year they are about 4 ft tall. I do not use any nitrogen in the raised bed the potato are planted in. Has anyone ever trimmed the height of the plant? Help?
