My dog Stuffy doesn't do such kind of stuffs. May be because he is afraid of me that's why or because we have a big lawn for him to play. So he doesn't bother to do any mischief in the garden. But for you I would suggest not to allow your dog to enter the garden. I know how much pain it cause to maintain a healthy garden. Or else train him accordingly with the help of a dog trainer. This is the thing you can do at the most.
