You can actually search it on net if you want. Maybe you miss a single word that might miss the site. Good luck on searching actually I've found it..

Okay, so I did find a "pie, mash, and liquor" recipe on the net. A meat pie (one site had mutton, the other beef), mashed potatoes, and a parsley bechamel sauce. Sound right? The recipe I found was at Uncle Phaedrus, Finder of Lost Recipes

Don't know if I can try it right away myself (my kids and husband are picky eaters, especially when it comes to anything green) so if anyone else decides to try it I would love to hear how it is.

Thank you Amy, thats what i was looking for.

It really is tasty, kind of an aquired taste but i like it and my family love it. its was invented in london and was ment to be a cheap meal back in the old days. traditionaly the dish consists of a beef puff pastry pie, mash potato and a eel sause, now substetuted with parsley. sometimes served with jellied eels, quite nice.

thanks again great help

I'm afraid that website recipe is just plain wrong. The pie is a suet pastry bottom with a flaky pastry top. There are no onions or anything else, just minced beef. The mash is plain mash ... NO butter, NO cream just a little salt to taste. I'm currently working on recipes for authentically tasting pie filling and liquor for the site mentioned below.

Nice sharing... but all those veggies out there...apple pie ,with banana mash to go with liquor, i experimented with the basic idea of pie mash liquor and ended up with something like a dessert liquor... wow experience was good for me and not so good to my friends....ha ha ha
