    Default Cooking Pinto Beans Question

    Hello - thank you in advance for any replies or ideas.
    I understand I must not salt beans until they are cooked .. but if I saute onions and garlic and salt them before I add the beans & water, will that salt mess with the beans? I should have asked this before I began cooking ..

    I just add salt, pepper an what ever else I`m gonna season with after I have everthang cookin, just do it slowly till you like the taste.........
