Banana Oatmeal Cake

1 1/2 cups mashed very ripe bananas, (4 medium)
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup vegetable
2/3 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 large egg
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup quick cooking or regular oats
2 tsps. baking soda
1 1/2 tsps. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
2/3 cup chopped nuts
2/3 cup raisins
Instructions:
Grease rectangular pan with shortening or cooking spray.

Beat in a large bowl:

1 1/2 cups mashed very ripe bananas, (4 medium)
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup vegetable
2/3 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 large egg

Mix in-------------------

1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup quick cooking or regular oats
2 tsps. baking soda
1 1/2 tsps. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground cloves

Stir in-----------------

2/3 cup chopped nuts
2/3 cup raisins

Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. If you like, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
