I guess my kitchen knife is my most precious tool. Actually, I have a set of knives depending on what to cut and what cut is needed.![]()
What is your most important cooking utensil in your kitchen that you could not live without?
Being an amateur but slowing having to scrub up and start cooking lol as now a married woman and planning a family - we are building our house and I have promised to fit the kitchen so I can cook - can anyone tell me their most prized cooking utensil?

Knife is important of course, you can't cook without it especially when you have something to cut, so I'll go for knife.
I will go for knife as well, buy a good set and it will last long.
So far my new cookware is the best thing that I've got. They're Jamie Oliver tefel ones and they're the best I've ever owned, although I'm glad I didn't pay for them (engagement presents)
Make sure you get a good quality peeler as well.
I've always used a cheap plastic peeler and never had any problems. Although I did see a really nice peeler in a homeware store in Canada, but couldn't justify spending $20 on it.
My most important cooking utensils are :
a 'boti' (a cutting utensil)
a nonstick 'kadai' with lid
I'd have to say that is would be my Chef's Knife or Chinese Cleaver and my cutting board, since I'm always cutting up onions, green peppers and celeries.

I think my food processor is the most necessary kitchen item because i can't do my daily cooking with out it. I use it to make smoothies, sauces for curry and many more such things which needs to blend and chop, so I suggest you to keep food processor as most important item for your kitchen
That and a stand mixer.
Don't know what I'd do without mine!
I've gotten back into baking cakes, cookies and bread, the trust me, having a stand mixer means that you have a workhorse and a work saver.
You don't have to put up with mixing heavy doughs and batters by hand, you don't have to feel like your arms are about to fall off, and you don't have to go through the drudgery of beating anything by hand. Unless you want to.

I'll go with knife. Very important in many ways such as cutting veggies, meat, spices, and opening cans as well. Cooking pan too..![]()
Big daddy, what would qualify as a good potato masher?
I think Knife and oven will be best friend to help us in cooking when comparable to other utensils.
I think the KNIFE too is my most important possession in the kitchen.
Knife and wok
nonstick kadai
Cheap Sectional Couches
