I have never used a cooking thermometer for anything other than roasts, or a candy thermometer for candy. I imagine if she normally has trouble adjusting the temperature of her stove this may help.
For Christmas I got my sister a skillet with a built-in digital thermometer in the hopes it will improve her cooking. Does anyone else have one? How do you like it?

She has problems recognizing when the heat is too high and something is cooking too quickly. Fortunately it came with a list of ideal temperatures to cook things at.
never knew that there was such a thing.
Is there a link so that we can see it? I'd love to see what it looks like!
