Heat diffuser needed on glass hob?
Hi,
I just found these forums, so hi :-)
My question is this. I bought a Moroccan tagine recently and it says that it can only be used on a hob if a heat diffuser is also used (to avoid it cracking under a high spot heat, I expect). But the cooker here is electric (halogen) with a glass top. The book which came with the cooker says that a heat diffuser shouldn't be used on it.
Is the glass sufficient to diffuse the heat and use the tagine? Or should I either use the heat diffuser anyway, or just not use the tagine on that hob?
Thanks in advance,
Pete.
