Carico Cookware

A friend of mine just bought a set of Carico cookware. She is amazed by it but I was wondering if anyone has heard of this brand or tried it before. Just want to see what other people thought before I purchased it.

My husband and I almost bought a set of Carico through an in-home demonstration but the price just seemed really high for us. I have one of the first models of Carico cookware for over 26 years, it still looks like new and I love it. When the new line of Ultra Tech and then Ultra Tech II came out, I added a few more pieces and found that these new pieces are even better than the original, they now have the Ultra Temp valve with temperature gauge that lets you know what's going on inside the pan and will alert you if it is too hot, so you won't burn any foods. The best thing I like is the way it cooks without water and graese, keeping the flavors and therefore the vitamins and minerals of the food. In short I highly reccomend it, it also has a lifetime warranty, so even though you may spend a little more up front, you'll have it for the rest of your life.

My wife & I are enjoying our ultra tech II set now for almost 2 years . It takes a bit to get used to Cooking with it but she loves it . I'm a bit leery of what the ''Lifetime Warrenty '' means . It may be like those brake pads I tryed to return once , so called Lifetime .
The pots are so very beautiful ,, My wife sets them right on the table , and they stay there , good & warm till dinner is over . She formerly always insisted on taking the food out of the pots , into glass bowls and then to the table . That always irked me , wasting the time and heat to do that . That feature alone is worth the price of the dishes , in the long run . I've never heard that mentioned in any of the sales pitches of any cookware . We paid like 2K for the 23 pc set plus, a bit high but we are well pleased at this point .
