macerated cherries
I've been soaking some cherries in an air-tight mason jar filled with bourbon for a couple weeks now. It's not refrigerated. I've been told by several people that refrigeration is unnecessary when dealing with such a high-proof spirit.
Anyway, 3 of the cherries are now floating at the top of the jar, and I'm wondering if something is wrong.
Any thoughts or concerns about my floating cherries?
