Description:
Asphodel Bread(also known as Pioneer bread) was made back in the day on many plantations. It is a very tasty bread than can be used for a number of things.
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
30 minutes
Difficulty:
Medium
Serving Size:
Makes 3 loafs
5 cups of biscuit mix(you can use any brand you favor)
4 eggs
2 cups pf warm milk
2 pkgs of yeast
4 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon cream of tarter
1 teaspoon of salt
Preparation:
Gather all ingredients
Instructions:
Beat eggs with cream of tarter, sugar, and salt.(Continue till well mixed)

Combine yeast with warm milk(I would suggest heating the milk a little in pan. You do not want the milk to be cold.)

Combine all in small pan.

In another bowl place the 5 cups of biscuit mix. Slowly add the liquid to biscuit mix(You do not want to put this all in at one time due to the yeast. Slowly fold it into the mix a little at a time.)

Let dough sit till it rises to about double the bulk.

One risen place in bread pan and bake on 350 for about 20 minutes.

There should be enough to make about 3 loafs of bread depending on the size of your bread pans.
