    Default Raw Garbanzos

I saw these on some cooking show. I think it was Chopped! They got rave
reviews on there so I was excited when I found them today at Costco.

Angela ate one and made a bad face. I figured they couldn't be that bad.
Well they were! Tough on the outside and mushy inside. Not for me.

I'm fairly surprised you can eat them raw - so many of the beans are
    toxic without cooking.

I've never eaten them raw. They're good cooked into a stew. In Sicily, the
flour is used to make fritters (paneddi).
