    I make tacos without tacos.

Just a big pile of shredded lettuce, ground beef, shredded cheese, taco
sauce or salsa, guacamole and sour cream on the side. Some seasoned
black soybeans if I'm in the mood.

Singles? Might as well eat the stuff they make at Jack In The Box.

We eat the crisp shells once in a while when they are cheap. But mostly we
    prefer the soft ones.

    I prefer it on Enchiladas.

We don't buy anything of the Mission brand.

I would consider that to be a taco salad. I like beans or other taco type
fillings in various colored bell peppers that have been cut in big chunks.
Raw ones. I also like onions on mine. Either green or white. Whatever I
    have in the house.

Oh! Choko! I have grown up on them. Everyone knew someone that had a
vine, the vine would grow along a fence for a long way with the chokoes
hanging over neighbour's fences. Mostly we had them boiled in salted
water. They take on the flavour of what they are cooked with. Many made
faux apple pies/crumble etc with. The young, smooth-skinned ones are the
    ones to go for.

Yes, I can see that they would be versatile. Really good.

You don't like chocolate, Chile relleno, tamales, enchiladas,
guacamole, chicken piccata, caprese, bruschetta, spaghetti, or sauce
    bolognese???

Could you boil it, like celery root, to serve with remolade?

It has too much vinegar to my taste. Make your own:

    1 medium tomato, diced
    1 onion, finely chopped
fresh jalapeno (or sweet) pepper (to taste), seeded and chopped
2 sprigs fresh cilantro, finely chopped
    juice of 1 lime
    Optional: chopped tomatillo to taste

I'm guessing you could, but that it has more moisture inside, so
    texture/body would differ.

I like corn tortillas with the principal filler being guacamole, or
refried beans, or ground beef that is browned, to which is added a can
of beef broth, oregano, onions, and fennel seeds. Reduce sauce to a
glaze to a glaze, and serve. Salsa of choice is Mrs. Renfro's Green
    salsa.

So? I have a tortilla with a taco salad about twice a year, usually just the
taco salad with no tortilla, and don't eat the tortillas that often either.
I'm not afraid of my food at all in reasonable quantities. YMMV

That must be One Big Tortilla.

They make three sizes and that one is about double the medium size.
